Sand Castles
It’s a rise of the wake.
Water erodes the sand on my eyes.
The fabrication of truth crumbles.
For it has only been woven with lies.
I am finally awake.
I can finally see.
The castle has crumbled.
Yet I have never wanted to sleep as much as I do now.
To go back to simpler times.
Maybe.
To purge my being and soul from the earth is more to my liking.
It’s grasp is so tight on the world.
I can only push back against the palm.
And if all else fails.
I can only hope to slip between His fingers.
Even if it is without Him I’ll take the rest that I can get.
